This page is here to explain how I plan to keep you and your work safe when you work with me.
Maybe you are worried about your personal information. Maybe you don’t want your work to be scanned and fed to AI without your knowledge. Maybe you just want to keep things quiet.
It sometimes feels like you don’t have many choices these days. You do.
Here’s how it works with me.
Tier 1: “I’m not bothered about that at all.”
We’ll use whatever is easiest for you. I’m ready to learn your systems and to set myself up with whatever you need to get things done. During this tier, almost anything goes.
I will not consent to having my face or voice recorded to train your AI systems. If I do creative work for you – for example, write something for you, or design, or code something from scratch – then I’ll not consent to having it fed to AI, and I’ll opt out of anything I can to keep it AI-free. If I can think of any other red lines, I’ll let you know.
Tier 2: “Please don’t let AI steal my work.”
Here’s what I can do for you.
I’ll work on operating systems which have no built-in AI capabilities (Debian Linux and Windows Ameliorated). I will use software which does not come with AI assistants (e.g. LibreOffice). If we’re working online, I will use a browser which does not track my work (e.g Librewolf or Vivaldi + Ghostery). I will also share links to encrypted docs (e.g Proton Drive). We will be communicating through a range of AI-free media (e.g. email hosted away from Google or Microsoft servers, Jitsi for video calls, or FTP, or Proton Drive folders).
For anything else, we will always discuss the best alternative. If it’s not possible to find an AI-free option (Articulate and Adobe are two software suites that come to mind), then I will let you know.
Tier 3: “I need you to keep this as secure as you can.”

That’s the safest route I can offer. There will be other, encrypted options for office / collaboration and operating systems. We’ll discuss them later. If you need more – SecureDrop, for instance – then I’m not your man. If, at any point, I can’t guarantee the security you need, or if I don’t feel comfortable working on your project, I will let you know.
What you will do to help
None of this will be useful if you don’t keep up on your end. If I work 100% encrypted and email it to your Gmail, the secure chain breaks down. If you open my AI-proof work on a computer with Windows Recall, the AI scraping starts again.
I’ll ask you questions when you decide to go with Tier 2 or 3. If something can be changed in your setup, I’ll help you through it.
If you decide it’s not worth the hassle, we’ll revert to Tier 1 and work with what you’ve got.
What it will cost you
There’s no extra charge for any of this. I’m ready to do the work equally confidently at each of the tiers.
